Chesney Jobson started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, AFC Ascoli's Chesney Jobson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Philip Carter. Philip Carter yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 9th minute, Chesney Jobson made a precise shot to the right of Philip Carter. Qurbo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 11th match minute, Qurbo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Vickers to maneuver through the defense. Chesney Jobson did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Philip Carter 13 minutes into the match. Dom Cunningham hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Mick Slade hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Philip Carter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kristian Topham went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Qurbo FC's Philip Carter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chesney Jobson in the 32nd minute of play. Dale Tompkins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Vickers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Philip Carter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chesney Jobson in the 35th minute of play. When Chesney Jobson in the 37th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Philip Carter kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 6-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Dale Tompkins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wesley Robinson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Philip Carter was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Chesney Jobson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Chesney Jobson really showed his touch with that goal: 7-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wesley Robinson to make the kick off. Chesney Jobson took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Philip Carter. Philip Carter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Kristian Topham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kristian Topham struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Philip Carter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Ascoli. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chesney Jobson in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philip Carter saved Qurbo FC from getting behind. In the 70th minute Chesney Jobson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Carter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matthew Hamer's late challenge caught a AFC Ascoli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthew Hamer helped the player get up and apologised. After 74 played minutes Qurbo FC got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Hamer. 75 minutes into the match, AFC Ascoli's Jo Furlong broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 76 minutes, Jo Furlong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC Ascoli and the Qurbo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jo Furlong kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the game, Adam Jennings was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC Ascoli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Qurbo FC the free kick. A collision led to AFC Ascoli getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Adam Jennings hit a great ball. Qurbo FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
