Luke Collingwood was slow to take the kick. During this time Inter FC Torino's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Luke Collingwood got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Louie Hicks quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Louie Hicks was a little too slow when Crispin Coulson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 2-0. Inter FC Torino were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Wakefield Wanderers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luke Collingwood took the corner. The corner led Inter FC Torino's Stew Poynton to fire away a dangerous shot which Louie Hicks despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Inter FC Torino were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Wakefield Wanderers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luke Collingwood took the corner. Luke Collingwood made a great header on Inter FC Torino's corner, it was just that Wakefield Wanderers's Louie Hicks managed to reach the ball for a save. Ron Garrett charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ron Garrett the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ron Garrett hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. A collision led to Inter FC Torino getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Luke Collingwood hit a great ball. After having played for 43 minutes, Alastair Quantrill managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wakefield Wanderers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alastair Quantrill was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Darryl Simpson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chaz Quinn having to interfere. Luke Collingwood hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute, Ron Garrett left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wakefield Wanderers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Darryl Simpson was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Crispin Coulson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Louie Hicks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Crispin Coulson, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After a rather tough play, Inter FC Torino's Alf Maylett got a free kick in the 56th minute. Pierre Rhodes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Louie Hicks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Conan Blake hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Louie Hicks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Crispin Coulson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inter FC Torino's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luke Collingwood in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Crispin Coulson in the 64th minute of play forced Wakefield Wanderers's goalkeeper Louie Hicks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Darryl Simpson fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wakefield Wanderers's protests and gave Darryl Simpson a yellow card for diving instead. Alastair Quantrill charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alastair Quantrill the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Inter FC Torino booed when Wakefield Wanderers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alastair Quantrill didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Wakefield Wanderers's zone, Crispin Coulson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Louie Hicks came out of the goal and Crispin Coulson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wakefield Wanderers's goalkeeper Louie Hicks, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pierre Rhodes struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Louie Hicks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter FC Torino. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Darryl Simpson in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chaz Quinn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Crispin Coulson in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Louie Hicks saved Wakefield Wanderers from getting behind. Crispin Coulson's late challenge caught a Wakefield Wanderers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Crispin Coulson helped the player get up and apologised. Crispin Coulson kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After 91 played minutes Inter FC Torino got a freekick which was hit by Alf Maylett. Crispin Coulson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chaz Quinn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ron Garrett in the 96th minute of the match. Inter FC Torino were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
