After a rather tough play, K.S.V Waregem's Huey Hughes got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 23 played minutes K.S.V Waregem got a freekick which was hit by Crispin Hepburn. Toby Topham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Taylor in the 26th minute of play. Crispin Hepburn's late challenge caught a Nancy AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Crispin Hepburn helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th match minute, K.S.V Waregem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Crispin Hepburn to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the game, Huey Hughes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Walter Gardner was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felix Howard hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Huey Hughes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Walter Gardner was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Toby Topham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jack Taylor in the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to Nancy AFC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Graham Forster hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind K.S.V Waregem's goalkeeper Toby Topham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Huey Hughes struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Walter Gardner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for K.S.V Waregem. Toby Topham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Taylor in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Jack Taylor made the kick off in the second half. Toby Topham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Riad in the 51st minute of the match. With a little luck, K.S.V Waregem's Toby Topham got control of the ball when Jack Taylor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Trevor Kempson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Gardner having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, Nancy AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Howard to maneuver through the defense. Toby Topham made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Sam Lowe sent off a good shot on target. Huey Hughes hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Sam Lowe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Toby Topham made a huge save. A collision led to Nancy AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Noel Baker hit a great ball. After 70 minutes, Huey Hughes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the K.S.V Waregem and the Nancy AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmy Riad in the 72nd minute of play forced K.S.V Waregem's goalkeeper Toby Topham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toby Topham made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jack Taylor in the 73rd minute. After a rather tough play, Nancy AFC's Felix Howard got a free kick in the 75th minute. The supporters of K.S.V Waregem booed when Nancy AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Howard didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. K.S.V Waregem were victorious despite being under pressure from Nancy AFC for much of the match.
