Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicholas Joynes in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Louie Hicks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nial Sherman's late challenge caught a Fowey FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nial Sherman helped the player get up and apologised. If Nicholas Joynes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicholas Joynes made a kick off.
