Albert Ford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christopher Rayner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th play minute Rob Norman came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jack Nethercot. 2-0. Darryl Wright received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Albert Ford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christopher Rayner in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albert Ford prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Liverpool1978's zone, Christopher Rayner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Ford came out of the goal and Christopher Rayner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 36th minute by Rufus Hibbert got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A hard shot 43 in the game by Garry Cheesman from a close distance when the talented Jack Nethercot managed to make a qualified save. Warminster AFC's players were relieved. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 54thth minute of the game Garry Cheesman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Warminster AFC's Jack Nethercot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Liverpool1978's Garry Cheesman got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garry Cheesman in the 63rd minute of play forced Warminster AFC's goalkeeper Jack Nethercot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jack Nethercot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rufus Hibbert in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Garry Cheesman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Liverpool1978 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1.
