An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Patterson in the 6th minute of play forced FIVE Wizards's goalkeeper Luke Newlyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shane Ruddock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carl May in the 14th minute. After 14 played minutes Ambleside got a freekick which was hit by Rory Bowler. Shane Ruddock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Howard Howard in the 16th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carl May during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carl May kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Luke Newlyn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Patterson, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Luke Newlyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Patterson in the 24th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Howard Howard took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Shane Ruddock to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Ambleside:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FIVE Wizards:s goal. FIVE Wizards's Luke Newlyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Patterson in the 45th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Jack Carey-Bertram made a precise shot to the right of Luke Newlyn. FIVE Wizards's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Howard Howard to strike the kick off in the second half. Carl May got his second yellow card in the match during the 53rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Luke Newlyn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rufus Woolford, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Kevin Hedges hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Shane Ruddock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Howard Howard in the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ambleside's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Brendon Parks was slow to take the kick. During this time FIVE Wizards's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ambleside's goalie and right to Wally Grayson. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ambleside's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Jack Carey-Bertram kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th minute of the game Kevin Hedges made a throw-in which Rufus Woolford played forward. In the 76th minute, Damian Patterson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th minute, Ambleside's Damian Patterson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luke Newlyn. Luke Newlyn yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. FIVE Wizards's Luke Newlyn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save FIVE Wizards from getting a goal against them. After 82 played minutes FIVE Wizards got a freekick which was hit by Chesney Duffield. 85 minutes into the match, FIVE Wizards's goal looked a bit too open when Rufus Woolford came free, but Luke Newlyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luke Newlyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rufus Woolford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luke Newlyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Patterson in the 92nd minute of play. Luke Newlyn made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Jack Carey-Bertram sent off a good shot on target. FIVE Wizards's Luke Newlyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rufus Woolford in the 95th minute of play. 98 minutes into the match, FIVE Wizards's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Patterson came free, but Luke Newlyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Ambleside could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FIVE Wizards throughout the match.
