Spectators: 6852 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1852, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Niall Pryor kicked off to start the match. Romsey FC's Norman Delamore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niall Pryor in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niall Pryor in the 6th minute of play forced Romsey FC's goalkeeper Norman Delamore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Niall Pryor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jools Button sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th match minute, Romsey FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Hartley to maneuver through the defense. Niall Pryor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Norman Delamore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norman Delamore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niall Pryor, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 27 minutes into the match, West Buckland AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Hartley came free, but Joe Bridgewater reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Hartley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gwyn Westlake hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the game, Ivan Hartley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Romsey FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave West Buckland AFC the free kick. After 33 played minutes Romsey FC got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Hartley. West Buckland AFC's Jools Button got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Norman Delamore stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niall Pryor's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. A collision led to West Buckland AFC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Niall Pryor hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivan Hartley made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Niall Pryor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Norman Delamore was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. If Niall Pryor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Andre Duke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norman Delamore stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niall Pryor's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Romsey FC's goalkeeper Norman Delamore had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jools Button. Norman Delamore made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andre Duke in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute of the match Geoff Harrison sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joe Bridgewater skillfully saved the ball. Norman Delamore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niall Pryor in the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Spike Holyfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joe Bridgewater saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 82 minutes, Andre Duke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. West Buckland AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andre Duke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When West Buckland AFC's Niall Pryor in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Romsey FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 87 played minutes, West Buckland AFC's Kristopher Vaughan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Norman Delamore came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in West Buckland AFC reached it. Jay Attwood's late challenge caught a West Buckland AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jay Attwood helped the player get up and apologised. Niall Pryor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Norman Delamore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romsey FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though West Buckland AFC had controlled the match.
