Albert Ford dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. If Rob Norman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rob Norman during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivan Hartley made a kick off. Liverpool1978's Albert Ford proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Liverpool1978 from getting a goal against them. In the 84th minute, Darren Everard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Liverpool1978 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Norman Delamore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rufus Hibbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Romsey FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Jay Attwood hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Liverpool1978's Sebastien Blake got a free kick in the 91st minute. Rufus Hibbert struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Norman Delamore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liverpool1978. Romsey FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Liverpool1978's much stronger midfield.
