In the 5th minute Phil Blowman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Americo Fidensio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trev Fitter didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Kings Lynn's Jochen Göring shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Hans Kvalsvik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Trev Fitter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Teddy Timiney put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Trev Fitter. 17 minutes into the game, Standiford Bridge recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Trev Fitter. Standiford Bridge showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Trev Fitter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martyn Sheene, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Teddy Timiney sped through Legia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Trev Fitter. Martyn Sheene took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trev Fitter. Trev Fitter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The nice shot from Teddy Timiney in the 32ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Trev Fitter had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. The audience was convinced that Teddy Timiney's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trev Fitter was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Jochen Göring could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Trev Fitter made a huge save. The corner led Kings Lynn's Hans Kvalsvik to fire away a dangerous shot which Trev Fitter despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 39th minute, Teddy Timiney left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kings Lynn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. 46 minutes into the game, Martyn Sheene recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Trev Fitter. Martyn Sheene showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 7-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martyn Sheene was the one to do the kick off. Jochen Göring sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grant Hargrave in the 53rd minute of play forced Legia's goalkeeper Trev Fitter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the game, Jochen Göring cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Trev Fitter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hans Kvalsvik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Trev Fitter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Kings Lynn's Jochen Göring in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Legia's goalie prevented a goal. After 60 minutes, Tom Connett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Legia and the Kings Lynn players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 61 played minutes Legia got a freekick which was hit by Tom Connett. 62 minutes into the match, Legia's goal looked a bit too open when Jochen Göring came free, but Trev Fitter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Kings Lynn getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Jochen Göring hit a great ball. Teddy Timiney struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Trev Fitter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kings Lynn. Jochen Göring sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Standiford Bridge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trev Fitter was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Trev Fitter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jochen Göring, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the game, Kings Lynn's Martyn Sheene nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Trev Fitter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. Trev Fitter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teddy Timiney in the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Kings Lynn were awarded a corner. Hans Kvalsvik went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Hans Kvalsvik got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Trev Fitter quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Martyn Sheene scored 11-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Trev Fitter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Trev Fitter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jochen Göring's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute Jochen Göring shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trev Fitter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Seth Summerfield during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kings Lynn's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
