Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Howard Howard was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of FIVE Wizards booed when Thirsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominic Frost didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Den Watson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Caleb Summers kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After 93 played minutes FIVE Wizards got a freekick which was hit by Carl May. When Carl May got the opportunity to take care of a free kick, it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball hit the crossbar and flew out of bounds. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominic Frost in the 95th minute of play forced FIVE Wizards's goalkeeper Luke Newlyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thirsk's Den Watson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Thirsk from getting a goal against them. The FIVE Wizards supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FIVE Wizards would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
