Trev Fitter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rupert Barton, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Kristopher Rowell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil Blowman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kristopher Rowell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from CJ Brady in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Legia's Phil Blowman got a free kick in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by CJ Brady in the 21st minute of play forced Fakenham's goalkeeper Kristopher Rowell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wes Hurren in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Trev Fitter, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rupert Barton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trev Fitter having to interfere. During the 32nd minute of the match Phil Blowman completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Phil Blowman a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 47 minutes into the match Wes Hurren climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Trev Fitter. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wes Hurren to make the kick off. Kristopher Rowell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Wardle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th match minute, Legia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by CJ Brady to maneuver through the defense. If Wes Hurren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Fakenham booed when Legia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Freeman didn't get a good kick on the ball. CJ Brady recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CJ Brady sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leo Freeman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Kristopher Rowell made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Wardle in the 96th minute of play forced Fakenham's goalkeeper Kristopher Rowell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Fakenham's zone, Michael Wardle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristopher Rowell came out of the goal and Michael Wardle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fakenham's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
