Spectators: 7025 (Terracing: 6025, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when CJ Brady kicked off to start the match. Wombwell United's Ronny Reddington got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Legia's Leo Freeman got a free kick in the 6th minute. Trev Fitter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Reddington in the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the game, one of Legia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 13th minute there was a penalty for Wombwell United. Rick Salmon stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Trev Fitter. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Legia's zone, Ronny Reddington stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trev Fitter came out of the goal and Ronny Reddington tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, CJ Brady managed to get in a good position for a shot. Legia's supporters rose to their feet, but CJ Brady was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kris Patten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Legia's Trev Fitter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronny Reddington in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Ronny Reddington got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Wombwell United booed when Legia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. CJ Brady didn't get a good kick on the ball. Legia's Trev Fitter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronny Reddington in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by CJ Brady in the 35th minute of play forced Wombwell United's goalkeeper Kris Patten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Wombwell United's Ronny Reddington sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trev Fitter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Legia's zone, Jerry Knight-Percival stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trev Fitter came out of the goal and Jerry Knight-Percival tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the game, Ronny Reddington recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Trev Fitter. Ronny Reddington showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronny Reddington to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Kris Blueman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wombwell United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Kris Blueman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Jerry Knight-Percival managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wombwell United's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerry Knight-Percival was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trev Fitter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 66 minutes into the match, Legia's goal looked a bit too open when Ronny Reddington came free, but Trev Fitter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronny Reddington blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Trev Fitter having to make a save. Kris Blueman kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Trev Fitter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rick Salmon in the 74th minute of play. In the 74th match minute, Legia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Wardle to maneuver through the defense. Ronny Reddington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Trev Fitter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Reddington in the 75th minute of the match. After 90th play minutes Ronny Reddington shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Trev Fitter and just under the crossbar into goal. Wombwell United were furious when Tyrone Todd was red carded, 95 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wombwell United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty!
