In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wombwell United's goalkeeper Kris Patten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jerry Knight-Percival fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norman Delamore having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Wombwell United's goal looked a bit too open when Spike Holyfield came free, but Kris Patten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronny Reddington blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Norman Delamore having to make a save. Kris Blueman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norman Delamore having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ronny Reddington kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Norman Delamore. That made the score 1-4 in the 94 minute of play.
