Keggers Hill's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rochester United the free kick. Jake Hume hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Keggers Hill's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Millman came free, but Kristian Seaward reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karl Millman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Karl Millman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kristian Seaward. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. After 22 minutes of play, Keggers Hill's William Foster made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alec Legzdins was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alec Legzdins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Foster in the 25th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Rochester United's goal looked a bit too open when William Foster came free, but Alec Legzdins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Frazer Pollard came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Keggers Hill fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frazer Pollard couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Keggers Hill's Ed Conway got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Rochester United's Tristram Perkins got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frazer Pollard struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Alec Legzdins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Keggers Hill. Karl Millman's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kristian Seaward firmly grabbed it by the left post. William Foster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alec Legzdins having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frazer Pollard was the one to do the kick off. Kristian Seaward took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Millman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute Karl Millman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Seaward saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tristram Perkins during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 59 played minutes Rochester United got a freekick which was hit by Tristram Perkins. Kristian Seaward stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl Millman's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. A collision led to Rochester United getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Felix Rouse hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the game, Louis Summerfield was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rochester United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Keggers Hill the free kick. In the 67th minute, Louis Summerfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rochester United's Alec Legzdins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Rochester United from getting a goal against them. Alec Legzdins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frazer Pollard in the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Karl Millman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. William Foster came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alec Legzdins could save by the left post. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Frazer Pollard took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Alec Legzdins to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dion Shipley got free with Alec Legzdins in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Rochester United getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Sammy Lightfoot hit a great ball. In the 84th minute Frazer Pollard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alec Legzdins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rochester United's Alec Legzdins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frazer Pollard in the 86th minute of play. William Foster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alec Legzdins having to interfere. Felix Rouse's late challenge caught a Keggers Hill's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Rouse helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Rochester United's Felix Rouse got a free kick in the 89th minute. Rochester United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when William Foster scored to the left of an out of position Alec Legzdins, making the score, 1-3. Keggers Hill's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
