Alec Legzdins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dean Atkins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Craig Snowden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Alec Legzdins made a huge save. Devon Bassett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Alec Legzdins made a huge save. Alec Legzdins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dean Atkins in the 12th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rochester United's zone, Tyler Cahill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alec Legzdins came out of the goal and Tyler Cahill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Rochester United's goal looked a bit too open when Dean Atkins came free, but Alec Legzdins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Devon Bassett got free with Alec Legzdins in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Karl Millman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 24 played minutes Hextable United got a freekick which was hit by Tyler Cahill. Rochester United's Alec Legzdins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Rochester United from getting a goal against them. Alec Legzdins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dean Atkins in the 27th minute of the match. Craig Snowden made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 29thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Alec Legzdins would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Louis Summerfield struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Carl Budden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rochester United. Louis Summerfield recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karl Millman hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Alec Legzdins came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Hextable United's Craig Snowden. But to his dismay, Craig Snowden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Tristram Perkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julian Wilson's late challenge caught a Hextable United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julian Wilson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th minute, Julian Wilson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ethan French took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alec Legzdins. Rochester United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Craig Snowden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hextable United's supporters rose to their feet, but Craig Snowden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alec Legzdins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Millman in the 71st minute of play forced Hextable United's goalkeeper Carl Budden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl Millman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Louis Summerfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Devon Bassett during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Louis Summerfield struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Carl Budden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rochester United. A collision led to Hextable United getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Pete Vaughn hit a great ball. Alec Legzdins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Devon Bassett in the 90th minute of the match. After 91 minutes, Sammy Lightfoot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rochester United and the Hextable United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sammy Lightfoot hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. A collision led to Rochester United getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Louis Summerfield hit a great ball. Rochester United's Alec Legzdins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dean Atkins in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hextable United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rochester United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
