In the 5th minute, Will Hotte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atletico Roma fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. With his leg Silvester Stallone managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Atletico Roma's Will Hotte fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Cheltenham City booed when Atletico Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perry Shields didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Cheltenham City's Alessandro Danza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fedele Scutti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Will Hotte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvester Stallone was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Jeff Lennon kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes Cheltenham City got a freekick which was hit by Dan Skoglund. Damon Fordham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedele Scutti having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cheltenham City's zone, Leon Hudson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvester Stallone came out of the goal and Leon Hudson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute, Atletico Roma's Leon Hudson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Silvester Stallone. Silvester Stallone yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Silvester Stallone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andre Pollard in the 38th minute of the match. Jo Zamora hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. A collision led to Atletico Roma getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Perry Shields hit a great ball. Silvester Stallone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Will Hotte in the 44th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Will Hotte got free with Silvester Stallone in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Atletico Roma's Fedele Scutti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damon Fordham in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd minute, Will Hotte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvester Stallone was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After a rather tough play, Atletico Roma's Perry Shields got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 58th match minute, Cheltenham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Skoglund to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leon Hudson in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvester Stallone saved Cheltenham City from getting behind. With a little luck, Atletico Roma's Fedele Scutti got control of the ball when Alessandro Danza tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 65 minutes of play, Atletico Roma's Will Hotte made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silvester Stallone was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 67 played minutes Atletico Roma got a freekick which was hit by Andre Pollard. 70 minutes into the match, Atletico Roma's goalkeeper Fedele Scutti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alessandro Danza. Silvester Stallone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andre Pollard in the 72nd minute of play. Silvester Stallone came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico Roma's Leon Hudson. But to his dismay, Leon Hudson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. The supporters of Atletico Roma booed when Cheltenham City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mattias Waple didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Sol Saville hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute Will Hotte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvester Stallone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Cheltenham City getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Alessandro Danza hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damon Fordham got free with Fedele Scutti in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cheltenham City's Henry Greenfield was substituted for Damon Fordham. An unexpectedly hard shot by Will Hotte in the 97th minute of play forced Cheltenham City's goalkeeper Silvester Stallone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
