An unexpectedly hard shot by Len Knight in the 3rd minute of play forced GKS Diament's goalkeeper Fitz Parkinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GKS Diament's Johnny Forrest shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 7th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Matthew Dimmock but with some difficulty. After 10 played minutes GKS Diament got a freekick which was hit by Tristan Darby. In the 11thth minute of the game Stu Swinscoe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GKS Diament's Fitz Parkinson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lenny Hewitt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Matthew Dimmock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stu Swinscoe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute, Stu Swinscoe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stu Swinscoe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stu Swinscoe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Fitz Parkinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gavin Snowdon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Dimmock having to interfere. Stu Swinscoe scored 0-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fitz Parkinson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 43rd match minute, GKS Diament was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Paul Croft to maneuver through the defense. The GKS Diament players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cullompton United were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stu Swinscoe to make the kick off. Tristan Darby charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tristan Darby the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th match minute, GKS Diament was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tristan Darby to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute Lenny Hewitt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew Dimmock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lenny Hewitt took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matthew Dimmock. Matthew Dimmock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The supporters of Cullompton United booed when GKS Diament was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Billie Wallbank didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gavin Snowdon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tristan Monkman was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When GKS Diament's Gavin Snowdon in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cullompton United's goalie prevented a goal. In the 90th match minute, Cullompton United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steve Crossman to maneuver through the defense. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
