Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when David Gettins took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Doug West fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC ZUPANY's protests and gave Doug West a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Blandford Forum booed when FC ZUPANY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doug West didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Allison in the 6th minute of play forced FC ZUPANY's goalkeeper Paddy Carpenter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 7 minutes, Archie Land managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC ZUPANY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Archie Land was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blandford Forum's Marc Mayall got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Blandford Forum's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when David Gettins scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Gardner, making the score, 1-0. Pedro Gardner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doug West in the 16th minute of play. Jasper Rawson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pedro Gardner firmly grabbed it by the left post. Marc Mayall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Paddy Carpenter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Lucas Allison, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 25 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Paddy Carpenter was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 28th match minute, FC ZUPANY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Archie Land to maneuver through the defense. Lucas Allison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paddy Carpenter having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Alistair Bird was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC ZUPANY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blandford Forum the free kick. In the 32nd minute, Alistair Bird hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the match, Blandford Forum's Marc Mayall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paddy Carpenter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 34 played minutes FC ZUPANY got a freekick which was hit by Archie Land. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Gettins in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Gardner saved Blandford Forum from getting behind. Pedro Gardner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jasper Rawson in the 42nd minute. Jasper Rawson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Pedro Gardner when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marc Mayall made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, FC ZUPANY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Bow to maneuver through the defense. FC ZUPANY's Doug West got his second yellow card of the match in the 56th minute. The referee ordered Doug West off the ground. Doug West hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Pedro Gardner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jasper Rawson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 60 minutes, Marty Fitter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC ZUPANY and the Blandford Forum players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Blandford Forum booed when FC ZUPANY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marty Fitter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jasper Rawson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Gardner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jasper Rawson's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. 72 minutes into the game, FC ZUPANY's David Gettins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Gardner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 80 minutes into the match, Blandford Forum's Lucas Allison sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paddy Carpenter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. David Gettins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blandford Forum's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
