Powerpuffs's Tosh Clayton suffered a concussion in the 6th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Ash Allwright's late challenge caught a Powerpuffs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ash Allwright helped the player get up and apologised. Ash Allwright hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Cheltenham City's Ash Allwright got a free kick in the 13th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Cheltenham City's goal looked a bit too open when Jo Rooney came free, but Silvester Stallone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Ash Allwright dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Oliver Tubbs, 1-0. Powerpuffs's Jasper Robson got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henry Dawson kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Powerpuffs's Zeferino Machado got a free kick in the 37th minute. Oliver Tubbs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stuart Hicks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jo Rooney might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvester Stallone. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jo Rooney ran back to his position shaking his head. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alessandro Danza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Damon Fordham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Powerpuffs's Jasper Robson got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute of the match Stuart Hicks sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oliver Tubbs skillfully saved the ball. If Stuart Hicks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the game's 55th minute Cheltenham City's Stuart Hicks took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Oliver Tubbs and thus the score was 3-0. Ash Allwright hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Jo Rooney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Cheltenham City getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Fausto Ceandro hit a great ball. When Jo Rooney came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Powerpuffs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jo Rooney couldn't finish the play. Ash Allwright was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 82nd minute, Damon Fordham left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cheltenham City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After 85 minutes of play, Cheltenham City's Damon Fordham made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oliver Tubbs was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Jo Rooney got free with Silvester Stallone in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oliver Tubbs didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henry Greenfield went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew the final whistle, Cheltenham City could leave the field as winners, despite Powerpuffs having more of the ball for most of the match.
