Spectators: 8007 (Terracing: 6007, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 159) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gavin Snowdon got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Alessandro Danza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cheltenham City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alessandro Danza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 4th minute Mattias Waple shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fitz Parkinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Danza in the 15th minute of play forced GKS Diament's goalkeeper Fitz Parkinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Alessandro Danza sped through GKS Diament's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fitz Parkinson. If Lenny Hewitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alessandro Danza came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Cheltenham City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alessandro Danza couldn't finish the play. Damon Fordham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Fitz Parkinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alessandro Danza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Cheltenham City were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Alessandro Danza made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessandro Danza got free with Fitz Parkinson in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 54th minute Cheltenham City were awarded a corner. Stuart Hicks went to the cornerflag to take it. Cheltenham City's Stuart Hicks was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fitz Parkinson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 56th minute of the match, Alessandro Danza got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fitz Parkinson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Adrian Bale hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Alessandro Danza struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Fitz Parkinson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cheltenham City. GKS Diament's Gavin Snowdon got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, GKS Diament's Adrian Bale got a free kick in the 68th minute. 74 minutes into the match, GKS Diament's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias Waple came free, but Fitz Parkinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alessandro Danza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 played minutes Cheltenham City got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Ceandro. 84 minutes into the match, Cheltenham City's goal looked a bit too open when Gavin Snowdon came free, but Silvester Stallone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in GKS Diament's zone, Mattias Waple stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fitz Parkinson came out of the goal and Mattias Waple tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cheltenham City's Henry Greenfield was substituted for Damon Fordham. Alessandro Danza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fitz Parkinson having to interfere. Stuart Hicks struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Fitz Parkinson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cheltenham City. Cheltenham City played a much better game than GKS Diament and deserved their victory. The GKS Diament players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
