Spectators: 6500 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) Rochester United's Karl Millman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alec Legzdins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gerry Langford's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Blandford Forum's zone, Tristram Perkins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Gardner came out of the goal and Tristram Perkins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 11 played minutes Blandford Forum got a freekick which was hit by Billie Woodward. Louis Summerfield's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Gardner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Alec Legzdins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Louie Tolley in the 16th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Blandford Forum's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Millman came free, but Pedro Gardner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Karl Millman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Blandford Forum's zone, Karl Millman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Gardner came out of the goal and Karl Millman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marc Mayall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blandford Forum's Marc Mayall got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alec Legzdins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc Mayall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alec Legzdins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerry Langford in the 32nd minute of the match. Lucas Allison took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alec Legzdins. Alec Legzdins dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Alec Legzdins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gerry Langford went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Felix Rouse kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Alec Legzdins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Allison in the 42nd minute of the match. After having played for 44 minutes, Karl Millman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rochester United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl Millman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Marc Mayall made the kick off in the second half. Karl Millman took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Gardner. Pedro Gardner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marc Mayall got free with Alec Legzdins in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Louis Summerfield kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Rochester United's Alec Legzdins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerry Langford in the 60th minute of play. Alec Legzdins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerry Langford in the 61st minute of play. Alec Legzdins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louie Tolley in the 63rd minute of play. Rochester United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Louie Tolley scored to the left of an out of position Alec Legzdins, making the score, 1-3. With a little luck, Rochester United's Alec Legzdins got control of the ball when Marc Mayall tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rochester United's Alec Legzdins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Rochester United from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Rochester United getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Julian Wilson hit a great ball. Alec Legzdins made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Marc Mayall sent off a good shot on target. Alec Legzdins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marc Mayall in the 96th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Blandford Forum had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
