Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell George Meadowcroft to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Piers Cotterill threw the ball into play from the sideline. Belper Town's Ralf Mahon quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.
