Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) After some careless play in the Belper Town defense, Thomas Little kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martyn Fordham. The Belper Town fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martyn Fordham should have stopped the shot. Martyn Fordham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Little, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th match minute, Belper Town was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seth Beard to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Belper Town getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ralf Mahon hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as George Meadowcroft kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Freddy Boyes. That made the score 1-1 in the 15 minute of play. George Meadowcroft sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paddy Heywood during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute, one of Porthcurno City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Porthcurno City. 26 minutes into the match, Porthcurno City's goal looked a bit too open when Freddie East came free, but Freddy Boyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Glenn Hotte in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martyn Fordham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Glenn Hotte in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martyn Fordham saved Belper Town from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Laurence Buchanan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martyn Fordham was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. After taking down the ball on Belper Town's corner Adrian Barraclough fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Freddy Boyes quite easily take care of the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Porthcurno City's Mickey Mayall nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martyn Fordham made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 41 minutes into the game, Mickey Mayall cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Martyn Fordham was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Freddy Boyes made an important save on a dangerous shot by George Meadowcroft in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Freddie East made a kick off. The throw-in from Colin Lovell in the 52nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Belper Town's Ralf Mahon. In the 54th minute, George Meadowcroft made a precise shot to the right of Freddy Boyes. Porthcurno City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Mickey Mayall hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. When Jake Warner fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porthcurno City's protests and gave Jake Warner a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Porthcurno City! 68 minutes into the match, Porthcurno City's goal looked a bit too open when Freddie East came free, but Freddy Boyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, George Meadowcroft got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 5-3 when Freddie East sped through Porthcurno City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Freddy Boyes. In the 74th minute George Meadowcroft shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Boyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freddy Boyes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddie East, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 83 played minutes Porthcurno City got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Little. In the 84th minute, Freddie East got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Freddie East had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Glenn Hotte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martyn Fordham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martyn Fordham made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Laurence Buchanan sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Belper Town booed when Porthcurno City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jake Warner didn't get a good kick on the ball. If George Meadowcroft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
