Keiran Storry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 19 minutes into the match, Grantham Town FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Sweeney came free, but Oscar Sweeney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 played minutes Costa FC got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Rawlings. After a rather tough play, Costa FC's Garth Way got a free kick in the 21st minute. Keiran Storry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luke Kirkpatrick in the 24th minute of the match. The throw-in from Rich Moxon in the 31st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Grantham Town FC's Joshua Jobling. When Rio Locke came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Grantham Town FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rio Locke couldn't finish the play. Oscar Sweeney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Sweeney in the 34th minute of play. Keiran Storry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luke Kirkpatrick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 48 minutes of play, Grantham Town FC's Luke Kirkpatrick made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Keiran Storry was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The Costa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Keiran Storry should have stopped the shot. After 76 played minutes Costa FC got a freekick which was hit by Garth Way. Luke Kirkpatrick struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Keiran Storry didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grantham Town FC. Rio Locke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Keiran Storry made a huge save. When the match was over Grantham Town FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa FC throughout the match.
