Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Spike Earnshaw took the kick off in the first half of the match. Spike Postolan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vance Browne, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Alf Stamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Spike Postolan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11thth minute of the game Spike Earnshaw who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shaktar Boyz's Roy Brighton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th match minute, Shaktar Boyz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Greg Styles to maneuver through the defense. In the 14thth minute of the game Lee Hazell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shaktar Boyz's Roy Brighton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Garth Lynch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shaktar Boyz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garth Lynch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 23 played minutes Houghton Regis got a freekick which was hit by Tom Radcliffe. Spike Postolan came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Shaktar Boyz's Garth Lynch. But to his dismay, Garth Lynch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Spike Earnshaw in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roy Brighton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fraser Butterfield charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fraser Butterfield the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Shaktar Boyz's Fraser Butterfield got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Lee Hazell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Spike Earnshaw recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rdth minute of the game Lee Hazell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shaktar Boyz's Roy Brighton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Spike Earnshaw struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Roy Brighton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Houghton Regis.

If Garth Lynch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Spike Earnshaw in the 53rd minute of play forced Shaktar Boyz's goalkeeper Roy Brighton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Lee Hazell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Houghton Regis's supporters rose to their feet, but Lee Hazell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roy Brighton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vance Browne in the 57th minute of play forced Houghton Regis's goalkeeper Spike Postolan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute Vance Browne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Spike Postolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Shaktar Boyz's goal looked a bit too open when Spike Earnshaw came free, but Roy Brighton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Spike Postolan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vance Browne in the 69th minute of play. Shaktar Boyz's Roy Brighton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Shaktar Boyz from getting a goal against them. Lee Hazell in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roy Brighton, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lee Hazell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy Brighton having to interfere. Spike Earnshaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Spike Earnshaw in the 92nd minute of play forced Shaktar Boyz's goalkeeper Roy Brighton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roy Brighton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Spike Earnshaw in the 94th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
