When Sol Lodge fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belper Town's protests and gave Sol Lodge a yellow card for diving instead. After 2 played minutes Belper Town got a freekick which was hit by Sol Lodge. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dominik Blake got free with Martyn Fordham in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lenny Hutchins's late challenge caught a Belper Town's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lenny Hutchins helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Boscastle getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Lenny Hutchins hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Boscastle's Thom Falkingham got a free kick in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Thom Falkingham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boscastle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belper Town the free kick. George Meadowcroft succeeded in the game's 18th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, Belper Town's goal looked a bit too open when Lenny Hutchins came free, but Martyn Fordham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Boscastle's Thom Falkingham got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 30 minutes into the game, Freddie East cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Toby Browne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dominik Blakes short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Martyn Fordham to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Zackary Page hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Freddie East managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belper Town's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddie East was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toby Browne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Meadowcroft in the 47th minute of play forced Boscastle's goalkeeper Toby Browne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lenny Hutchins made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Thom Falkingham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martyn Fordham didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dominik Blake went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Zackary Page charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zackary Page the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th match minute, Boscastle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zackary Page to maneuver through the defense. Freddie East received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Toby Browne came out and tried to block the shot, but Freddie East slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 62nd minute. Zackary Page got his second yellow card in the match during the 69th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 69th match minute, Boscastle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zackary Page to maneuver through the defense. George Meadowcrofts short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Toby Browne to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Freddie East had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute Freddie East shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toby Browne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Freddie East took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Toby Browne to make any attempt to save it. If George Meadowcroft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Boscastle fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Belper Town were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
