Den Allott made an important save on a dangerous shot by Freddie East in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Sheringham AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Mahon came free, but Den Allott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sheringham AFC's Den Allott proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Sheringham AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute Freddie East shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Den Allott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Freddie East kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Den Allott. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddie East in the 18th minute of play forced Sheringham AFC's goalkeeper Den Allott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jim Ainge hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute of the match Belper Town got a corner. Sheringham AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adrian Barraclough ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Adrian Barraclough almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sheringham AFC's Den Allott did a great save. George Meadowcroft's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Den Allott skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 36th minute, Stew Elliott hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Freddie East took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Den Allott to make any attempt to save it. After 41 played minutes Belper Town got a freekick which was hit by Huey Hassell. In the 43rd minute, Jim Ainge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes into the match, Sheringham AFC's goalkeeper Den Allott had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by George Meadowcroft.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicholas Bennett stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Freddie East got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 54 minutes into the game, Reg Lewington was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belper Town's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sheringham AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Belper Town's Reg Lewington got a free kick in the 54th minute. Den Allott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddie East, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Den Allott didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Freddie East went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. George Meadowcroft took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Den Allott. Den Allott dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 72 minutes into the match, Freddie East notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Sheringham AFC's Den Allott. Den Allott was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 76th minute, Freddie East left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belper Town fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Belper Town made a substitution. Josh Brooke replaced Huey Hassell. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicholas Bennett got free with Martyn Fordham in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jim Ainge kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Freddie East left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belper Town fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Den Allott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddie East, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Freddie East sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. George Meadowcroft scored 8-0 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Den Allott, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
