Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Surbiton 17's Dom Middlewood in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Boscastle's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Lenny Hutchins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Purvis was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Richard Purvis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thom Falkingham in the 15th minute. In the 38th minute Lenny Hutchins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Purvis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Surbiton 17 booed when Boscastle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lenny Hutchins didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

After a defensive mix-up in Boscastle's zone, Leigh Jewson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toby Browne came out of the goal and Leigh Jewson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gavin Hampshire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Richard Purvis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Devon Bale recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Toby Browne. Devon Bale showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Devon Bale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Toby Browne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Dominik Blake made a precise shot to the right of Richard Purvis. Surbiton 17's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. In the 77th minute, Dominik Blake hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richard Purvis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Blake, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, Surbiton 17's goal looked a bit too open when Zackary Page came free, but Richard Purvis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Lenny Hutchins notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Surbiton 17's Richard Purvis. Richard Purvis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Richard Purvis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lenny Hutchins, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Owen Dunning hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Richard Purvis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lenny Hutchins in the 96th minute of play. The Surbiton 17 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Surbiton 17 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
