The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edward Haxby kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Harvey Donnelly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Hargrave in the 5th minute of the match. Kidmore End City's Carl Frampton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan McDonald in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Connett in the 9th minute of play forced Kidmore End City's goalkeeper Carl Frampton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Silvester Amos fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NEW MILLS F.C.'s protests and gave Silvester Amos a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes NEW MILLS F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Silvester Amos. In the 19th match minute, Kidmore End City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnny Younger to maneuver through the defense. NEW MILLS F.C.'s Harvey Donnelly proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save NEW MILLS F.C. from getting a goal against them. Harvey Donnelly was a little too slow when Nathanial Ottaway got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 1-0. After some careless play in the Kidmore End City defense, Ivan McDonald kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carl Frampton. The Kidmore End City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carl Frampton should have stopped the shot. Carl Frampton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan McDonald in the 36th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Ivan Connett had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carl Frampton. Kidmore End City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Connett was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Kidmore End City players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. NEW MILLS F.C. were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Billie Shackleton to strike the kick off in the second half. If Billie Shackleton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kidmore End City's Carl Frampton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Kidmore End City from getting a goal against them. Carl Frampton was a little too slow when Ivan Connett got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 1-3. Silvester Amos hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Nathanial Ottaway took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Harvey Donnelly. Harvey Donnelly dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. A collision led to NEW MILLS F.C. getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Gunnar Ahlqvist hit a great ball. Carl Frampton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan McDonald in the 68th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Kidmore End City's goal looked a bit too open when Jerome Rutherford came free, but Carl Frampton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carl Frampton came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by NEW MILLS F.C.'s Ivan Connett. But to his dismay, Ivan Connett quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. The supporters of Kidmore End City booed when NEW MILLS F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerome Rutherford didn't get a good kick on the ball. Devon Swinscoe hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, Nathanial Ottaway notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of NEW MILLS F.C.'s Harvey Donnelly. Harvey Donnelly was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Harvey Donnelly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Billie Shackleton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carl Frampton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Connett in the 93rd minute of the match. The NEW MILLS F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing NEW MILLS F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
