Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Danny Nethercott took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the game, The Glass Cannon's Johnnie Swinscoe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jack Graves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 7 minutes, Danny Nethercott managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tasmania Berlin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danny Nethercott was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Den Sargent during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Den Sargent kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Brighton in the 11th minute of play forced Tasmania Berlin's goalkeeper Jack Graves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vince Craven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Den Sargent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jack Graves having to interfere. The Glass Cannon's Rueben Higgins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save The Glass Cannon from getting a goal against them. The corner led Tasmania Berlin's Darryl Farrow to fire away a dangerous shot which Rueben Higgins despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Vince Craven charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vince Craven the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes The Glass Cannon got a freekick which was hit by Vince Craven. In the 23rd minute, Johnnie Swinscoe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rueben Higgins made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Zak Ford sent off a good shot on target. After 35 minutes, Danny Nethercott mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tasmania Berlin and the The Glass Cannon players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 36 played minutes Tasmania Berlin got a freekick which was hit by Danny Nethercott. Vince Craven struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Jack Graves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Glass Cannon. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Vince Craven managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Glass Cannon's supporters rose to their feet, but Vince Craven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jack Graves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute, Edward Fry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Tasmania Berlin getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Len Smart hit a great ball. Danny Nethercott got his second yellow card in the match during the 47th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Danny Nethercott hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Ron Barnes managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Glass Cannon's supporters rose to their feet, but Ron Barnes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jack Graves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vince Craven was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, The Glass Cannon's Johnnie Swinscoe ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jack Graves. Jack Graves yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Jack Graves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Den Sargent's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Vince Craven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruben Brighton took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jack Graves. Jack Graves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Johnnie Swinscoe sped through Tasmania Berlin's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jack Graves. Vince Craven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jack Graves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Johnnie Swinscoe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vince Cravens short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Jack Graves to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vince Craven's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jack Graves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, The Glass Cannon's Den Sargent got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Ruben Brighton came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jack Graves could save by the left post. After 86 minutes Tasmania Berlin's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ron Barnes who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on The Glass Cannon's corner Ron Barnes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jack Graves quite easily take care of the ball. If Den Sargent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ray Stamer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Den Sargent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jack Graves having to interfere. The supporters of The Glass Cannon booed when Tasmania Berlin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zak Ford didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Glass Cannon played a much better game than Tasmania Berlin and deserved their victory. The Tasmania Berlin players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
