In the 9th minute, Seb Thackray ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tod Ingram was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Seb Thackray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Laurence Markham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Wirral Town FC booed when Real Ale Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seb Thackray didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seb Thackray in the 30th minute of play forced Wirral Town FC's goalkeeper Tod Ingram to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Wirral Town FC's goal looked a bit too open when Seb Thackray came free, but Tod Ingram reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Laurence Markham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tod Ingram saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Fernando Grealish made a precise shot to the right of Tod Ingram. Wirral Town FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 37 minutes into the match, Wirral Town FC's goal looked a bit too open when Esbjörn Fågel came free, but Tod Ingram reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danny Gibbs made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Stewart Probert sent off a good shot on target. After 42 minutes, Timothy Power mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wirral Town FC and the Real Ale Madrid players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Wirral Town FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Timothy Power hit a great ball. After 43 played minutes, Real Ale Madrid's Sammy Pullen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tod Ingram came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Real Ale Madrid reached it. Danny Gibbs was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Stewart Locke capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stewart Locke really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The ball had pretty good speed, but Tod Ingram firmly grabbed it by the left post. Tod Ingram came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Ale Madrid's Seb Thackray. But to his dismay, Seb Thackray quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. With a little luck, Wirral Town FC's Tod Ingram got control of the ball when Zachariasz Hoffman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Seb Thackray struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Tod Ingram didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Ale Madrid. The Wirral Town FC fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Wirral Town FC's Stewart Probert looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 81st minute, Fernando Grealish got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Seb Thackray could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Tod Ingram made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded Real Ale Madrid left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Wirral Town FC.
