With a little luck, Budleigh Salterton's Ray Alsford got control of the ball when Louis Richardson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Budleigh Salterton's Ray Alsford proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Budleigh Salterton from getting a goal against them. Clive Benbow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zane Thompson in the 12th minute of play. Ray Alsford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fitz Verity in the 15th minute of play. Zane Thompson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Budleigh Salterton's goal looked a bit too open when Fitz Verity came free, but Ray Alsford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jordan Budge in the 28th minute of play forced Vauxhall FC's goalkeeper Clive Benbow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clive Benbow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurence Murtagh, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Zane Thompson came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Budleigh Salterton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zane Thompson couldn't finish the play. Fitz Verity kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Louis Richardson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 35th playminute. The supporters of Budleigh Salterton booed when Vauxhall FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fitz Verity didn't get a good kick on the ball. Louis Richardson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ray Alsford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sammy Adcock charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sammy Adcock the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Jordan Budge came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Budleigh Salterton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jordan Budge couldn't finish the play.

Zane Thompson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carl Beckford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Clive Benbow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st match minute, Vauxhall FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Richardson to maneuver through the defense. Ray Alsford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Louis Richardson in the 64th minute of the match. The supporters of Vauxhall FC booed when Budleigh Salterton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barrie Towler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Billy Higgins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vauxhall FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Billy Higgins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ray Alsford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 72 minutes of play, Vauxhall FC's Fitz Verity made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ray Alsford was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Budleigh Salterton's Zane Thompson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Clive Benbow. That made the score 2-1 after 86 minutes of play. Vauxhall FC's Clive Benbow proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Vauxhall FC from getting a goal against them. The referee felt a red card was in order, 98 minutes into the game, when Billy Higgins put in a rough tackle. In the 97th minute, one of Vauxhall FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vauxhall FC. Despite being the better team, Budleigh Salterton failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
