Beinn Meadowcroft made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Hughes in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the game, Westerham's Alan Backhouse nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beinn Meadowcroft made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Beinn Meadowcroft came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Westerham's Alan Backhouse. But to his dismay, Alan Backhouse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 10 minutes, Sebastian Watson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Westerham and the Chelsea players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Westerham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Watson to maneuver through the defense. Olly Butt stood somewhat misplaced when Reggie Stewart came free in front of goal and shot 2-2 to the left of him in the 15 minute. In the 21st minute Jeff Brighton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olly Butt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chelsea's Beinn Meadowcroft played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Watson in the 27th minute of play. After 30 minutes of play, Westerham's Alan Backhouse made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Beinn Meadowcroft was left in no man's land by his defense there! 33 minutes into the match, Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Backhouse came free, but Beinn Meadowcroft reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beinn Meadowcroft made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Backhouse in the 35th minute of play. Beinn Meadowcroft showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damion Crouch in the 36th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Westerham's zone, Reggie Stewart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olly Butt came out of the goal and Reggie Stewart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Greg Kirkpatrick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the match, Sebastian Watson notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Chelsea's Beinn Meadowcroft. Beinn Meadowcroft was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Westerham were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 56th minute, Eric Speight got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olly Butt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeff Brighton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Westerham's Olly Butt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeff Brighton in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Reggie Stewart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute Reggie Stewart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olly Butt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olly Butt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reggie Stewart, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Beinn Meadowcroft made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Patrick Hughes sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Westerham booed when Chelsea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeff Brighton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beinn Meadowcroft showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Watson in the 78th minute of the match. In the 84th minute Alan Backhouse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beinn Meadowcroft saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eric Speight didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Chelsea's Reggie Stewart sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olly Butt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Chelsea booed when Westerham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Chandler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reggie Stewart took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Olly Butt. Westerham's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Reggie Stewart took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olly Butt. Olly Butt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. Westerham's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
