Spectators: 8126 (Terracing: 6096, Seating: 1869, VIP seats: 161) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Feridun Eronat got the match started through his kick off. Harleston's Jo Kirk suffered a fractured collar bone after 3 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Halvdan Strømsvåg fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Amsterdam Wanderers's protests and gave Halvdan Strømsvåg a yellow card for diving instead. 3 minutes into the game, one of FC Amsterdam Wanderers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Wesley Rush had in the 5thth minute some difficulties stopping Jack Weeks's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Wesley Rush came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Harleston's Jack Weeks. But to his dismay, Jack Weeks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Eddy Boyd hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. With his leg Reg Christensen managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when FC Amsterdam Wanderers's Feridun Eronat fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fraser Locking hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After 11 minutes, David Love mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Amsterdam Wanderers and the Harleston players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute, David Love hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harleston's Jack Weeks couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 19th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Amsterdam Wanderers. Wesley Rush made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Boyd in the 21st minute of play. If Feridun Eronat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reg Christensen made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Feridun Eronat sent off a good shot on target. Kirk Longden took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wesley Rush. FC Amsterdam Wanderers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Feridun Eronats short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Reg Christensen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 36 minutes, Dave Porter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Harleston and the FC Amsterdam Wanderers players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th match minute, Harleston was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dave Porter to maneuver through the defense. Brandon Ripley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Reg Christensen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feridun Eronat struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Reg Christensen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Amsterdam Wanderers. The crowd rose to their feet as David Love kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Reg Christensen. That made the score 1-1 in the 43 minute of play. With a little luck, Harleston's Reg Christensen got control of the ball when Feridun Eronat tried to sneak it across the goal line. Feridun Eronat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reg Christensen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eddy Boyd was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Feridun Eronat in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reg Christensen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When David Love came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the FC Amsterdam Wanderers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Love couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the game, Fraser Locking was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Harleston's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Amsterdam Wanderers the free kick. In the 61st minute, Fraser Locking hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the game, Adrian Rowling cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Reg Christensen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Feridun Eronat hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute of the match Jack Weeks shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wesley Rush showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Harleston's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jack Weeks in the 73rd minute. Jack Weeks made a great header on Harleston's corner, it was just that FC Amsterdam Wanderers's Wesley Rush managed to reach the ball for a save. 75 minutes into the match, FC Amsterdam Wanderers's goalkeeper Wesley Rush had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francis Routledge. After 78 minutes of play, FC Amsterdam Wanderers's David Love made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reg Christensen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Harleston's zone, Feridun Eronat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reg Christensen came out of the goal and Feridun Eronat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the game, FC Amsterdam Wanderers's David Love nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reg Christensen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Reg Christensen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feridun Eronat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Barry Morgan in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Amsterdam Wanderers's Mick Morris. Reg Christensen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feridun Eronat in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Amsterdam Wanderers fans cheered their team off the field, for while Harleston had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
