An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Washington in the 24th minute of play forced FC Amsterdam Wanderers's goalkeeper Wesley Rush to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Gaz Rockett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Broken bottles FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Amsterdam Wanderers the free kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Archie Sansom was the one to do the kick off. Archie Sansom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wesley Rush having to interfere. In the 59thth minute of the game Feridun Eronat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Broken bottles FC's Dean Simms was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dean Simms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feridun Eronat in the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of Broken bottles FC booed when FC Amsterdam Wanderers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feridun Eronat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Feridun Eronat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddy Moody in the 81st minute of play forced FC Amsterdam Wanderers's goalkeeper Wesley Rush to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wesley Rush made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sun Chuan Wen in the 82nd minute of play. If David Love had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
