Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Walter Castledine made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Dover Athletic FC's goalkeeper Kevin West had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ray Alsop. If Shawn Sutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walter Castledine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 12th minute of the match, Ray Alsop got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kevin West was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 14th match minute, Dover Athletic FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valiko Gadaevi to maneuver through the defense. Walter Castledine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin West having to interfere. In the 18th minute Daryl Simms shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Brooke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walter Castledine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Dover Athletic FC's zone, Ray Alsop stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevin West came out of the goal and Ray Alsop tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kevin West made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Castledine in the 34th minute of play. Barry Peat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dover Athletic FC's Kevin West proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Dover Athletic FC from getting a goal against them. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 52nd minute Ray Alsop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin West saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johnny Brooke didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daryl Simms went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Keanu Wardell kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When Ray Alsop came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Machiavellian fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ray Alsop couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute, Ozzy Lampard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barry Peat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Brooke having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Keanu Wardell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Machiavellian and the Dover Athletic FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Dover Athletic FC booed when Machiavellian was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keanu Wardell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shawn Sutton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute Walter Castledine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin West saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Machiavellian was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thom Salt to maneuver through the defense. Johnny Brooke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daryl Simms in the 84th minute of play. Kevin West came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Machiavellian's Keanu Wardell. But to his dismay, Keanu Wardell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Daryl Simms's late challenge caught a Machiavellian's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daryl Simms helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Dover Athletic FC got a freekick which was hit by Daryl Simms. Kevin West showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walter Castledine, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ray Alsop in the 93rd minute of play forced Dover Athletic FC's goalkeeper Kevin West to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kevin West came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Machiavellian's Walter Castledine. But to his dismay, Walter Castledine quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.
