Bobby Blake took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brett Varley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kingswinford's Bobby Blake played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivor Henwood in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brett Varley in the 32nd minute of play forced Kingswinford's goalkeeper Bobby Blake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alec Lennon hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After having played for 36 minutes, Philip Garner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kingswinford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Philip Garner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th play minute Robert Boyce came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nicholas Cooke. 1-0. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thom Hopgood to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Kingswinford getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Thom Hopgood hit a great ball. When Ivor Henwood came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Elsdon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivor Henwood couldn't finish the play. In the 54th minute Thom Hopgood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicholas Cooke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rio Devaney hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Nicholas Cooke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thom Hopgood in the 59th minute of play. The throw-in from Rio Devaney in the 64th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Kingswinford's Jeremy Hall. In the 65th minute, Thom Hopgood made a precise shot to the right of Nicholas Cooke. Elsdon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Brett Varley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bobby Blake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blair Moyse in the 78th minute of play. Bobby Blake showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blair Moyse in the 83rd minute of the match. Nicholas Cooke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thom Hopgood in the 85th minute of play. When Kingswinford's Robert Boyce in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Elsdon's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Kingswinford getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Martin Pascoe hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Kingswinford could leave the field as winners, despite Elsdon having more of the ball for most of the match.
