Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brendon Doona to make the kick off. The supporters of Andover booed when Harleston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francis Routledge didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Eddy Boyd left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Harleston fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. 95 minutes into the match, Andover's goal looked a bit too open when Francis Routledge came free, but Denis Swift reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
