Spectators: 7883 (Terracing: 6033, Seating: 1850, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Benjamin Barfield kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Wolf Rex's goalkeeper Alf Battersby, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dean Simms stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donald Moyle's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. 5 minutes into the match, Broken bottles FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marty Stayton came free, but Dean Simms reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Darius Laycock kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Jack Routledge could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Alf Battersby made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Wolf Rex's Marty Stayton got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute, Jack Routledge left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Broken bottles FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Alf Battersby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Archie Sansom, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Archie Sansom charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Archie Sansom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, Broken bottles FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Archie Sansom to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Ivan Washington left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Broken bottles FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 30thth minute of the game Benjamin Barfield who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Broken bottles FC's Dean Simms was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Broken bottles FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Barfield came free, but Dean Simms reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 minutes of play, Wolf Rex's Benjamin Barfield made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dean Simms was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alf Battersby made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Washington in the 45th minute. The supporters of Broken bottles FC booed when Wolf Rex was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rupert Fielden didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Archie Sansom scored 3-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alf Battersby, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 56 minutes into the match, Jack Routledge notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Wolf Rex's Alf Battersby. Alf Battersby was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Wolf Rex's Benjamin Barfield slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dean Simms. That made the score 4-2 after 61 minutes of play. In the 64th minute Benjamin Barfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Simms saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alf Battersby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Moody in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Eddy Moody had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alf Battersby. Wolf Rex's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eddy Moody was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Sun Chuan Wen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Alf Battersby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Wolf Rex's goal looked a bit too open when Eddy Moody came free, but Alf Battersby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute Benjamin Barfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Simms saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Barfield scored 5-3 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dean Simms, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marty Stayton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Simms having to interfere. After having played for 91 minutes, Hugh Haskell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolf Rex's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugh Haskell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alf Battersby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Washington in the 95th minute of the match. Alf Battersby came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Broken bottles FC's Eddy Moody. But to his dismay, Eddy Moody quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Wolf Rex players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Broken bottles FC.
