Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Grant Mason got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th match minute, FC Manchester was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyler Parkinson to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rufus Way during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Evington. Grant Mason stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rowan Cook. 0-1. Grant Mason blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rowan Cook having to make a save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of FC Manchester:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Evington:s goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grant Mason in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rowan Cook prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th minute, Stan Meadowcroft got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Harry Locke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Evington booed when FC Manchester was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Spike Hooker didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Grant Mason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Grant Mason sped through FC Manchester's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rowan Cook. Stan Meadowcroft received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Rowan Cook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grant Mason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Grant Mason managed to get in a good position for a shot. Evington's supporters rose to their feet, but Grant Mason was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rowan Cook breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Harry Locke made the kick off in the second half. Ash Forrest received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Rowan Cook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 played minutes Evington got a freekick which was hit by Tristram Reed. Evington's Glen Blake played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neil Tucker in the 57th minute of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Ash Forrest managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Evington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ash Forrest was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grant Mason received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Rowan Cook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 65th minute by Grant Mason got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ash Forrest fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Cook having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Grant Mason ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rowan Cook was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. If Grant Mason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grant Mason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Evington's Glen Blake played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Croft in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Evington's Graeme Vine got a free kick in the 76th minute. FC Manchester's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Stan Meadowcroft scored to the left of an out of position Rowan Cook, making the score, 0-6. FC Manchester's Rowan Cook played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grant Mason in the 82nd minute of play. Rowan Cook made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grant Mason in the 85th minute. Rowan Cook made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stan Meadowcroft in the 86th minute of play. If Ash Forrest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evington's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
