Bryan Short fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Guest having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richie Kennedy in the 28th minute of play forced Juventus's goalkeeper Thom Daly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 51 minutes, Richie Kennedy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Metal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richie Kennedy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 52 minutes into the game, Gary Brown was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Metal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Juventus the free kick. The supporters of Juventus booed when FC Metal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gary Brown didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute Rupert Blacknell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Guest saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Juventus's zone, Rodney Rocastle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thom Daly came out of the goal and Rodney Rocastle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Metal's Rodney Rocastle slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thom Daly. That made the score 2-4 after 91 minutes of play. David Bambrook hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute, Richie Kennedy made a precise shot to the right of Thom Daly. Juventus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. The Juventus supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Metal's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Metal.
