Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Grant Mason started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Denny Holmes scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Glen Blake, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rowan Savage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stan Meadowcroft, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rowan Savage came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Evington's Grant Mason. But to his dismay, Grant Mason quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Grant Mason in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rowan Savage saved Farnborough from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Farnborough's zone, Casey Trotter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rowan Savage came out of the goal and Casey Trotter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Stan Meadowcroft managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Evington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stan Meadowcroft was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stan Meadowcroft sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rowan Savage showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stan Meadowcroft in the 32nd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Evington's Grant Mason sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rowan Savage narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Winnie Harrison took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Glen Blake. Glen Blake dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Glen Blake showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denny Holmes in the 39th minute of the match. Ash Forrest kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Pat Kitching took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Glen Blake. Evington's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Casey Trotter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rowan Savage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Denny Holmes made a kick off. If Stan Meadowcroft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute, Casey Trotter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th minute, Stan Meadowcroft got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Evington's Glen Blake got control of the ball when Malcolm Allwright tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Graeme Vine came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Evington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Graeme Vine couldn't finish the play. Glen Blake came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Farnborough's Len Gardener. But to his dismay, Len Gardener quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Glen Blake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Winnie Harrison in the 65th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Winnie Harrison during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Winnie Harrison kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Evington's Grant Mason got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Glen Blake made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Len Gardener sent off a good shot on target. Casey Trotter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Savage having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Ash Forrest was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Evington's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Farnborough the free kick. Ash Forrest hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denny Holmes couldn't finish the play. After 94 played minutes, Farnborough's Ruben Knight shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Glen Blake came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Farnborough reached it.
