Seating: 1854, VIP seats: 160) Derek Marenghi started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A collision led to Colchester United getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Tomás Lauro hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Colchester United's zone, Richie Kennedy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natalio Arnas came out of the goal and Richie Kennedy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 6 minutes into the match, Tod Monkman notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Metal's Ruben Guest. Ruben Guest was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 9 minutes into the match, FC Metal's goal looked a bit too open when Tod Monkman came free, but Ruben Guest reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, George Woodhead left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colchester United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 13th minute, George Woodhead made a precise shot to the right of Ruben Guest. FC Metal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 15 minutes into the game, Donny Cordingley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Metal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colchester United the free kick. Donny Cordingley hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Ruben Guest came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Colchester United's George Woodhead. But to his dismay, George Woodhead quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Ruben Guest showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Woodhead, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Rodney Rocastle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Natalio Arnas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Derek Marenghi made a precise shot to the right of Ruben Guest. FC Metal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Ruben Guest showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Woodhead in the 37th minute of the match. George Woodhead spun around in front of the goal 37 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of FC Metal's goal. Ruben Guest stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tod Monkman's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-8 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Richie Kennedy to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Garth Sherwood during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Colchester United booed when FC Metal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garth Sherwood didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jukka Leppiniemi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ruben Guest. FC Metal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Colchester United booed when FC Metal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lawrence Tyler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerónimo Villavicencio kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Ruben Guest was a little too slow when George Woodhead got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-10. 66 minutes into the game, George Woodhead recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ruben Guest. George Woodhead showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. The audience thought a goal was coming when Derek Marenghi got free with Ruben Guest in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 71 minutes into the match, Tod Monkman notched a goal, 0-12, to the right of FC Metal's Ruben Guest. Ruben Guest was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 74 minutes, George Woodhead managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colchester United's supporters crossed their fingers, but George Woodhead was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute, Colchester United's Derek Marenghi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ruben Guest. Ruben Guest yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-13. Derek Marenghi in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ruben Guest, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
