Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Viking Rovers's Benjamin Caton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th match minute, Viking Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristopher Pack to maneuver through the defense. London Athletic's Sol Cox got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10thth minute of the game Louie Medlin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Viking Rovers's Phil Guest was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the game, London Athletic's Sol Cox nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Phil Guest made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Phil Guest took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louie Medlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Van Der Hoorn during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th minute, David Van Der Hoorn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Benjamin Caton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Matias Bulhosa. The goal made the score 1-1. After a rather tough play, London Athletic's Sol Cox got a free kick in the 19th minute. Aaron Newman in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Matias Bulhosa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Viking Rovers's Benjamin Caton got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th match minute, London Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Netto to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Ian Pointon from long distance, 36 minutes into the match, got Matias Bulhosa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Louie Medlin to make the kick off. London Athletic's Matias Bulhosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Caton in the 51st minute of play. Matias Bulhosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Newman in the 54th minute of the match. Louie Medlin got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 2-2 in the right cross in the 56th match minute before Phil Guest had time to react. Louie Medlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. David Van Der Hoorn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phil Guest took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louie Medlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sol Cox's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phil Guest read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Louie Medlin got free with Phil Guest in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Louie Medlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Louie Medlin in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Phil Guest prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Brynn Horseman fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Viking Rovers's protests and gave Brynn Horseman a yellow card for diving instead. Rufus Pell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Viking Rovers players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
