Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ron Clayton started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Syd Renton in the 7th minute of play forced Shoreham by Sea's goalkeeper Joseph Jump to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barry Flintoff's late challenge caught a Leamington Spa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barry Flintoff helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Shoreham by Sea getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Barry Flintoff hit a great ball. Syd Renton might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joseph Jump. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Syd Renton ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Blunt in the 16th minute of play forced Shoreham by Sea's goalkeeper Joseph Jump to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shoreham by Sea's Barry Flintoff got his second yellow card of the match in the 16th minute. The referee ordered Barry Flintoff off the ground. After 17 played minutes Shoreham by Sea got a freekick which was hit by Barry Flintoff. Joseph Jump showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Syd Renton in the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Syd Renton in the 20th minute of play forced Shoreham by Sea's goalkeeper Joseph Jump to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Shoreham by Sea defense, Syd Renton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joseph Jump. The Shoreham by Sea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joseph Jump should have stopped the shot. Joseph Jump made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Blunt in the 25th minute of play. Joseph Jump took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Syd Renton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute George Blunt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph Jump saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Shipley kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Syd Renton in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joseph Jump saved Shoreham by Sea from getting behind. Leamington Spa FC's Ashley Shipley suffered a concussion in the 47th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 47 minutes, Geoff Beck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shoreham by Sea and the Leamington Spa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leamington Spa FC's Jeff Kay was substituted for Ashley Shipley. In the 48th minute, Geoff Beck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Leamington Spa FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Leamington Spa FC's Syd Renton got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Syd Renton took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Joseph Jump to make any attempt to save it. 60 minutes into the match, George Blunt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joseph Jump, 0-5. Joseph Jump made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Syd Renton sent off a good shot on target. 65 minutes into the match, Syd Renton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joseph Jump. Shoreham by Sea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Syd Renton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. In the 68th minute, George Blunt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Ron Clayton notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Leamington Spa FC's Josh Dyson. Josh Dyson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Syd Renton got free with Joseph Jump in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 76 minutes into the match, George Blunt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joseph Jump, 1-7. Syd Renton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Joseph Jump made a huge save. Joseph Jump showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeff Kay in the 80th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Shoreham by Sea's goal looked a bit too open when George Blunt came free, but Joseph Jump reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Syd Renton notched a goal, 1-8, to the right of Shoreham by Sea's Joseph Jump. Joseph Jump was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Shoreham by Sea's Joseph Jump played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeff Kay in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Syd Renton dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joseph Jump, 1-9. Joseph Jump took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Blunt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute, Leamington Spa FC's George Blunt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joseph Jump. Joseph Jump yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-10. When the match was over Leamington Spa FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Shoreham by Sea throughout the match.
