Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rdth minute of the game Tiburcio Lain who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Southampton's Martin Wilson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 4th match minute, Southampton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gareth Milligan to maneuver through the defense. Nat Langsford hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. The London Lions fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when London Lions's Tiburcio Lain looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 14thth minute of the game Tiburcio Lain who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Southampton's Martin Wilson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiburcio Lain in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin Wilson saved Southampton from getting behind. Daniel Reading kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Tiburcio Lain's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Wilson was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Southampton's zone, Marcos Francisco Elzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Wilson came out of the goal and Marcos Francisco Elzo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Borys Jaworski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Wilson having to interfere. Borys Jaworski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the game, Tiburcio Lain cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Martin Wilson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 37th minute, Tiburcio Lain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Tiburcio Lain notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Southampton's Martin Wilson. Martin Wilson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nat Langsford made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Rupert Rundle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Wilson was relentless in the 50th minute of the game. When Tiburcio Lain came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the London Lions fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiburcio Lain couldn't finish the play. After 55 played minutes Southampton got a freekick which was hit by Archie Stonebridge. Tiburcio Lain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiburcio Lain in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Wilson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Waldemar Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Martin Wilson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Wilson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiburcio Lain went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Martin Wilson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiburcio Lain in the 64th minute. In the 65th play minute Rupert Rundle came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Martin Wilson. 0-6. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Tiburcio Lain put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Martin Wilson. Martin Wilson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiburcio Lain's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Tiburcio Lain might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Wilson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiburcio Lain ran back to his position shaking his head. After 77 minutes, Waldemar Pitta made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. Southampton's Martin Wilson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 79th match minute, London Lions was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiburcio Lain to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the London Lions defense, Archie Stonebridge kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bogdan Ghimpu. The London Lions fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bogdan Ghimpu should have stopped the shot. Martin Wilson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiburcio Lain's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. When London Lions's Tiburcio Lain in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Southampton's goalie prevented a goal. Tiburcio Lain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Wilson having to interfere. Marcos Francisco Elzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Wilson having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded London Lions left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Southampton.
