Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Louie Medlin kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes Vince Adcock rounded London Athletic's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Matias Bulhosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Gower, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Sol Cox managed to get in a good position for a shot. London Athletic's supporters rose to their feet, but Sol Cox was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dom Cullen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of London Athletic booed when Huddersfield FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant Basterfield didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29thth minute of the game Louie Medlin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Huddersfield FC's Dom Cullen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marty Higginson got free with Matias Bulhosa in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th match minute, Huddersfield FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grant Basterfield to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, London Athletic's Rufus Pell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dom Cullen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The wind increased when Roy Gower made the kick off in the second half. Matias Bulhosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty Higginson in the 53rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in London Athletic's zone, Roy Gower stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Bulhosa came out of the goal and Roy Gower tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sol Cox's late challenge caught a Huddersfield FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sol Cox helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute Roy Gower shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Bulhosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th match minute, London Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Van Der Hoorn to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Roy Gower ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matias Bulhosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. When Rufus Pell came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the London Athletic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rufus Pell couldn't finish the play. Louie Medlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sebastian Webster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Dom Cullen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When London Athletic's Louie Medlin in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Huddersfield FC's goalie prevented a goal. The Huddersfield FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
