Carlin How Unite's Nicky Bensley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremy Peacock in the 4th minute of play. Zane Douglas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Nicky Bensley made a huge save. If Tony Robins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicky Bensley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony Robins, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th match minute, Carlin How Unite was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronnie Kershaw to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Carlin How Unite's goalkeeper Nicky Bensley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zane Douglas. In the 23rd minute Tony Robins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicky Bensley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Smikle hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Luke Brearley hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Nicky Bensley successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Carlin How Unite's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Glen Snowden scored to the left of an out of position Nicky Bensley, making the score, 1-0. Ashley Coulthard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Alfred Ingram tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Huey Dawson to make the kick off. After 64 minutes of play, Carlin How Unite's Huey Dawson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfred Ingram was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee felt a red card was in order, 74 minutes into the game, when Nath Pearce put in a rough tackle. In the 73rd minute, one of Carlin How Unite:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Carlin How Unite. Reggie Sharples hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Carlin How Unite's Luke Brearley tried to score from far away in the 81st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Nicky Bensley came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Chilcompton's Zane Douglas. But to his dismay, Zane Douglas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 93rd match minute, Carlin How Unite was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Smikle to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the match, Carlin How Unite's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Robins came free, but Nicky Bensley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlin How Unite's Nicky Bensley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Robins in the 97th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Chilcompton fully deserved thier win.
