The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ted Winstanley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liam Milner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FC Pelsall's Behiç Uzcan got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute, Behiç Uzcan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Pelsall fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 11th minute, Rod Chadwick ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kris Arrowsmith was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Kris Arrowsmith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 김 명, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After some careless play in the Emsworth defense, Behiç Uzcan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kris Arrowsmith. The Emsworth fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kris Arrowsmith should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute, 김 명 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ted Winstanley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Hewitt's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Liam Milner cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Ted Winstanley was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Hewitt in the 32nd minute of play forced FC Pelsall's goalkeeper Ted Winstanley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Hewitt scored 3-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ted Winstanley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nathan Crowther replaced Keith Willetts. In the 57th minute, Stephen Waterhouse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Pelsall's 김 명 got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Pelsall made a substitution. Bobby Benbow replaced Bill Marston. In the 65th minute Liam Milner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Winstanley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Hewitt got free with Ted Winstanley in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rod Chadwick charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rod Chadwick the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rod Chadwick hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. FC Pelsall's Sonny Armstrong was substituted for Axel Åkesson. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Pelsall fans cheered their team off the field, for while Emsworth had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
