A collision led to Chilcompton getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Tony Robins hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frankie Collins in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfred Ingram prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Drew Edmunds came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Chelmsford City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Drew Edmunds couldn't finish the play. Alfred Ingram made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Aureliano Juvenal sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th minute of the match, Drew Edmunds tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alfred Ingram saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Chilcompton getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Don Harrad hit a great ball. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chilcompton's goalkeeper Alfred Ingram, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Reggie Sharples charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reggie Sharples the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st match minute, Chilcompton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reggie Sharples to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the game, Frankie Collins recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alfred Ingram. Frankie Collins showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 26th minute, Alex Auckland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Alfred Ingram managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Chelmsford City's Frankie Collins fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 32 played minutes Chelmsford City got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Juvenal. Barry Beevers came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Chilcompton's Zane Douglas. But to his dismay, Zane Douglas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 38th match minute, Chelmsford City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vince Ryder to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Chilcompton's zone, Frankie Collins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfred Ingram came out of the goal and Frankie Collins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frankie Collins took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfred Ingram. Alfred Ingram dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tony Robins made a kick off. Alfred Ingram showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vince Ryder in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 56th minute Frankie Collins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Ingram saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Chelmsford City's Alex Auckland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfred Ingram made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Alex Auckland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Chelmsford City's Frankie Collins in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chilcompton's goalie prevented a goal. 68 minutes into the game, Drew Edmunds cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Alfred Ingram was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vince Ryder scored 5-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfred Ingram, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Frankie Collins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Ingram having to interfere. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chilcompton's goalkeeper Alfred Ingram, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alfred Ingram showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frankie Collins in the 78th minute of the match. Tony Robins struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Barry Beevers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chilcompton. When Glen Snowden fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chilcompton's protests and gave Glen Snowden a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Chilcompton getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Glen Snowden hit a great ball. Alfred Ingram stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Drew Edmunds's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Alfred Ingram showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Drew Edmunds, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 89th match minute, Chilcompton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reggie Sharples to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 90 minutes, Frankie Collins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chelmsford City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frankie Collins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Alex Auckland left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chelmsford City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1.
